Lebens Premieres New Version of Ewazen Double Concerto
Dr. James C. Lebens, tromboniste and brass chair at Laval University in Quebec, is pictured below after a performance of the Eric Ewazen Double Concerto for trumpet and trombone. The performance was at the X-treme Recital of the National Trumpet Competition at George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia, with trumpeter Niklas Eklund and Eric Ewazen at the piano, March 16, 2007. This was the premiere performance of the work in its version with piano, which was also recorded by the three, recently released on Albany Records (voir liens/links).
